Straight from the last full decade of Lou Gehrig's life - the 1930s - we have a vintage signature of the Hall of Fame legend. The "Iron Horse" signed this small cut of paper in 8/10 black fountain ink that has been encapsulated as authentic by PSA. The paper was at one time glued into a scrapbook so there is some adhesive residue on the back but otherwise is a thing of beauty! Gehrig died less than two years after famously delivering his Yankee Stadium speech and calling himself "the luckiest man on the face of the earth." He was the first man ever elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame prior to the mandatory five-year waiting period, on account of his deteriorating health.
