In the first of two All-Star Games held in 1959, the National League narrowly defeated the American League in a game that brought together Hall of Famers like Early Wynn, Ernie Banks, Hank Aaron and others. This silver-plated serving set was presented to Tommy O'Toole is engraved "All Star Game Pittsburgh July 7, 1959 Tommy O'Toole". There is an engraving of an eagle perched atop a baseball with a shield that reads "Organized 1900" next to it. The maker's stamping is on the underside. The piece includes six glass dishes and exhibits some tarnishing that could be easily cleaned.
