Legendary University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign coach Robert Zuppke (1913-1941) is credited with many football inventions like the huddle and the flea flicker. He won four national titles and coached βThe Galloping Ghost,β Red Grange. Before coaching at the University of Illinois, Zuppke coached at Oak Park and River Forest HS, leading the team to state championships in 1911 and 1912.
