One undisputed fact about Rocky Marciano has been, as great as he was, very little documented equipment from his career has survived. We are lucky to present such an offering. These are training gloves used by Marciano in preparation for his last fight with Archie Moore in 1955. The gloves are 16 oz sparring gloves with Marciano's signature brand label, BENLEE, on each wrist. Several holes from wear and staining inside. Has the original laces. Comes with a signed LOA from Marciano's then-trainer Charley Goldman attesting to their authenticity written to Boxing Hall of Famer Hank Kaplan and dated March 15, 1961, on Kaplan's letterhead.
