Presented here are training trunks of Muhammad Ali worn in 1972. From the collection of Ali's assistant trainer Wali Muhammad. These are white satin, with black trim training trunks. size tag is missing, but appear to be Large. Everlast label on front center waistband. The name "ALI" is written on Everlast label in black marker in the hand of Wali Muhammad. On the inside rear waistband in black marker, in the hand of Wali Muhammad is written, "ALI 1972." Trunks have faded slightly from aging. There is wear and marks, particularly on the rear from use. Slight tear at lower rear, right leg.
