Joe Louis fought Jimmy Braddock in Chicago in 1937 for the world heavyweight title. On the night of the fight, June 22, 1937, Braddock was able to knock Louis down in round one, but afterward could accomplish little. After inflicting constant punishment, Louis defeated the "Cinderella Man" by knockout in Round eight. The ascent of Joe Louis to the World Heavyweight Championship was complete. Offered here are nine (9) souvenirs from the fight. Lot includes two Louis-Braddock Buick advertising cards printed on heavy stock (VG). Also included are seven Buick paper score sheets printed on thin stock (VG with creases & tears). Both items advertise the radio broadcast by Buick. Very seldom seen.
