The only authentic Eddie Plank signed ball we known to exist. Signed on a side panel by "E.S. Plank"; this is a very large and definitive signature from this HOF'er who sported a record of 327-193 with a 2.34 lifetime ERA. The star of the St. Louis Terriers (after jumping Connie Mack's Philadelphia Athletics), this is on an "Official Federal League Ball." Attractive green and red laced orb is by Victor Sporting Goods, and is facsimile signed by the League President James Gilmore. The ball itself is incredibly rare (only a couple are known) and itself is worth at least a couple of thousand dollars. There was another signature professionally removed from the opposite panel to the signature (virtually undetectable). Signature is NRMT, and the ball itself has a light coating and some slight foxing. It is o/w EX-MT. One of the finest signed baseballs we have ever offered; this is the first time it has been offered for public sale.
