When you can’t have the whole thing, a piece of history is just fine. Here we have the most important part of one of Carl Yastrzemski’s Gold Glove awards, the golden glove itself minus base and engraved plate, circa 1970’s, since it is either the golden glove from 1971 or 1977. Some time ago the base of one of Yaz's gold glove awards was broken, and the top part (this glove) was salvaged and later sold. Whatever the year, Yastrzemski was an All-Star left fielder in both years, and surrounded his career with outstanding play. This glove is signed (7/10) in blue, on the inside of the pinky finger, while the mitt itself is NRMT.
