The Providence Steamrollers football team had many incarnations dating back to the 1910s. But in 1960, as a member of the Atlantic Coast Football League, Melvin Clanton - who was an administrator in the Providence school district - was named the league's MVP. This is his brass trophy on mahogany base that stands 16" tall and is in EX condition. Clanton died in 2010 at the age of 76.
