Calvin Coolidge was the 30th President of the United States, serving his term from 1923 to 1929. Coolidge restored public confidence in the White House after the scandals of his predecessor's administration. This is a signed nomination by Coolidge himself, appointing Charles Womersley to be Notary Public for the District of Columbia on the August 20, 1923. All the signatures are in black fountain ink and are very clear. Although the paper is a little creased, it is in extremely good condition for its age. It also has the Department of Justice stamp on it in perfect condition still. Also included in this auction is a metal license plate, a promotional item given out during Coolidge’s 1924 Presidential campaign. It reads "COOLIDGE.
