This ring is a salesman's sample of that awarded to the Boston Celtics on winning the 1974 NBA Championship. Its face is comprised of a 72 pt diamond centered in a basketball and surrounded with the words "NBA World Champions." The left shank of the size 11 ring contains the NBA logo and the year, "1974," with the right bearing the name "WHITE" engraved above the familiar Celtics leprechaun logo and the word "PRIDE" inscribed beneath. Engraved on the inside of the ring is the identifying number, "SA 127459-8." The 1974 Celts won 56 games before taking the title in a hard-fought seven-game showdown with the Milwaukee Bucks.
