Famed sports cartoonist Willard Mullin created the "Brooklyn Bum" character, a personification of the Dodgers baseball team and its long-suffering fan base, in 1937 after his cab driver one day asked "how did our bums do today?" Here's an original pen-and-ink Mullin drawing that features his most famous character grabbing hold of a chicken leg and blowing by other National League team "bums." It measures 21" x 22.5" in its black frame.
