Roy Campanella is best known for his legendary career as the catcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers during the 40s and 50s. The Hall of Famer was an eight-time All-Star and three-time NL MVP. More importantly, he was an early pioneer in breaking the color barrier in MLB. Here we have one of the earliest known autographs of Campanella included on this EX/MT lined looseleaf page which has the signatures of 19 of his 1947 Montreal Royals teammates. This Dodgers Triple A minor league affiliate included the likes of Al Campanis, Erv Palica, Jack Banta, and manager Clap Hopper whose signatures can be seen here in black fountain pen ink. JSA-LOA.
