These training trunks were used by Muhammad Ali in 1981 while preparing for his final professional fight with Trevor Berbick. From the collection of Ali's longtime assistant trainer Wali Muhammad, these trunks are white satin with black trim at the waistband and piping running down each leg. At the center front waistband there is a manufacturer's label for MacGregor which was also the brand worn by Ali for his fight with Berbick. The trunks have some soiling from use but no tears. Inside on the rear waistband in the hand of Wali Muhammad is written the name, "ALI." On the inside front waistband in the hand of Wali Muhammad is written, "81." Approximate size L-XL. Comes with a letter of authenticity from the daughter of the late Wali Muhammad and from Craig Hamilton of JO Sports, Inc.
