Weather-beaten and in need of restoration, this seat from the older Yankee Stadium is somehow very charming and evocative of a bygone, more innocent chapter of the American pastime. Structurally, the 20" x 32" wood and metal chair is extremely sound and very heavy. There is a brass label affixed to the front that reads: "ORIGINAL CHAIR FROM 'YANKEE STADIUM' 1923-1973." The number 6 is stenciled in black atop the front. Wherever this seat was located in the House That Ruth Built, it sure was witness to some brilliant players and historic games.
