Academy Award-winning actress Joan Crawford was Hollywood royalty, and this lot includes seven letters typed and signed by the Texas native (one by her secretary) between 1971 and 1974, just a few years prior to her death. They are addressed to Mr. Gene London of New York City and the letters include mailing envelopes and have typical mailing folds. One of Ms. Crawford's letters pans the show "Mame" while the others center on one of Mr. London's shows and Crawford's "Sixth Sense" film. There are also two letters and a card from Mary Tyler Moore to London (two are written on Moore's own stationery, including one bearing her married name: Tinker) and signed with "love." Also included is a card postcard with facsimile autograph from John Wayne. Signatures are in ink and average 8/10.
