By 1933, Babe Ruth was nearing the end of the greatest career in baseball history. His larger-than-life presence in the baseball world was showcased with his inclusion on four different cards in the 1933 Goudey set. The offered specimen is of the #144 batting pose which features Ruth in a classic swing follow-through. The card has been graded PSA 8 NMMT and is one of only 31 to be graded at that level with 5 higher. It has vivid color and a crisp image which make the card look as if it was pulled from a pack yesterday. The corners are very sharp with minimal wear. Certainly one of the most important cards of the decade.
