Though he spent much of his career in Japan playing before the professional league as it's known today was formed, Tadashi "Henry" Wakabayashi is still considered a legendary figure and one of the best pitchers ever.
This traditional signing board (shikishi) was signed in fountain pen ink by 15 members of the Hosei baseball team and includes Wakabayashi, who was 21 on its signing date of May 17, 1929. The famed hurler's signature is at the very bottom of the card, and the inscription on top reads "Hope you good luck in whatever you undertake. Hosei Baseball Team, Tokyo, Japan - 5/17/29." Wakabayashi's autograph is somewhat faded and the sigs on the card average 7/10.
