Check out this dark hickory bat that belonged to the man who was instrumental in the scouting and signing of baseball's first black player - Jackie Robinson. The 33 oz, 35" Hillerich and Bradsby bat from the late 1920s shows very nice use and is uncracked. There is plenty of tar on the handle and it is signed on the barrel in gold paint pen. Before becoming a scout, Sukeforth was a catcher, primarily with the Cincinnati Reds, around the time he used this classic bat.
