One of the greatest hitters in baseball history, Alex Rodriguez burst onto the scene with the 1995 Seattle Mariners and has hardly slowed down over the yearst as he continues his quest to become baseball's all-time home run champion. This practice jersey from the Double-A Jacksonville Suns dates back to the 1993-96 seasons and was worn not only by A-Rod but also by future M's Andy Sheets and Frank Catalanotto. It shows great use, highlighted by a faded Wilson Size 44 tag on the collar. Comes with a team letter and copy of the 1994 roster and price list when this jersey was sold by the team in 1997. Headed into the 2012 season, the Yankees' third baseman was one homer shy of former teammate Ken Griffey, Jr. for fifth place on baseball's all-time home run list with 629, the most ever by a Hispanic player. He was the fastest player ever to the 500 and 600-homer plateaus. A-Rod is a 14-time All-Star and lifetime .302 hitter.
