Jorge Posada announced his retirement this year, cementing a career exclusively played with the Yankees. Back in 2001, the catcher who had just come off three straight World Series titles was issued this extra jersey for the All-Star Game played at Seattle's brand new Safeco Field. Posada never wore the jersey, which is in pristine condition and features AMERICAN on the front in the Mariners' font and style, as well as the Mariners' ball/compass logo. POSADA 20 is stitched on the back in white lettering/numbering, and the shoulders feature patches from the 2001 All-Star Game and Yankees logo. The back collar features a small MLB patch. The MLB Authentic tag on the front tail is from Majestic and is size 48. There is also a manufacturer's care tag inside with the number 0006.
