Long before Spygate and Bountygate, the NFL's biggest scandal came in 1925 as the Pottsville Maroons were denied a chance to celebrate what would have been a league championship as a result of the Maroons' participation in an exhibition game. The short-lived but star-crossed franchise existed for just four seasons, and this is the schedule card from the very first. The 14-game schedule begins with four straight home games, including the franchise's debut tilt against Colwyn-Darby on September 20. The 4.5x2.5" card reads: COMPLIMENTS OF FEDERAL SYSTEM OF BAKERIES, and features a full-page ad for same on the back.
