Gone but never forgotten, Yankees great Thurman Munson died in a plane crash 33 years ago at the age of 32, and this official American League (MacPhail) baseball with Munson and other signatures is in NRMT condition. Munson's 11 other teammates who also signed the ball were: Chris Chambliss, Lou Piniella, Rudy May, Roy White, Dick Howser, Fran Healy, Jim Mason, Dick Tidrow, Dock Ellis, Rick Dempsey and Fred Stanley. The signatures average 8/10. Led by Munson, who won the American League MVP award that season, the Yankees captured the pennant but were a year away from winning the first of two straight World Series in Munson's final two full seasons.
