President Dwight D. Eisenhower's passion for the sport of golf was well-documented and ultimately landed him a spot in the World Golf Hall of Fame. Here are his clubs and shoes in all their glory, housed in a tan leather Wilson professional model bag. Here's what's inside: irons 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10 and lightweight sand wedge - Spalding, Robert T. Jones, Jr. with the president's signature and five stars engraved on the back of the club face at the factory. Walter Hagen Ultra Pitching Wedge also included. As for the woods, there is the driver, five-wood and two-wood from an older set. There is a Frank Strazza Gondola model putter with cover, as well as three green head covers (1, 2 and 4) from the Augusta National Golf Club, with logo. The shoes are Florsheim tan and brown saddle oxfords with "Dwight D. Eisenhower" written inside the left shoe. Comes with original shoe trees, plus plaid, zippered Turnberry Golf Club shoe covers. Included in the lot is a copy of a letter to then-14-year-old boy Clint McCown, the son of one of his secret service agents who became the General's regular golf partner. Eisenhower helped popularize the game of golf during the 1950s, playing regularly and putting the sport in a good light.
