Born as Edward Lee Conarty, "Irish" Bob Murphy retired after a 10-year career as a light-heavyweight with an impressive 65-11-1 record. While he came up short in his lone attempt to capture the world championship, Murphy does have the distinction not only of scoring a victory over Jake LaMotta, but also registering the only knockdown of the legendary "Raging Bull" of his storied career.
