This green saddle cloth belonged to American Thoroughbred racehorse Empire Maker, who competed in the 2003 Run for the Roses at Chuchill Downs as a three-year-old. Sired by 1990 Kentucky Derby champion Unbridled, Empire maker finished second to Funny Cide before eventually winning the Belmont Stakes. The saddle cloth measures 35x47," is in EX condition and features the colt's name and number "12" on both sides. There are also a pair of patches for both the 129th Kentucky Derby, National Thoroughbred Racing Association and American flag, one on each side. There is evidence of some use near the edges. Includes LOA.
