On October 14, 1986 Mike Tyson entered into his second professional boxer-manager contract. This two-page document is the New York State Contract and is boldly signed in ink on the second page by Mike Tyson, his manager Jimmy Jacobs and Jose Torres, Chairman of the Athletic Commission. The four-year contract lays out terms including the manager-fighter share of earnings. Tyson would later refer to this and his earlier professional contract with Jacobs as "slave" contracts.
