Offered here is a three-page typed agreement between Tex Rickard and Jack Dempsey and his manager Jack Kearns regarding the distribution of the gate receipts for the Dempsey-Firpo fight on September 14, 1923 at the Polo Grounds in New York. Dempsey stopped Firpo in the second round in one of the wildest and best remembered fights in boxing history. The third page of the agreement has been boldly signed by Jack Dempsey, Jack Kearns and Tex Rickard in fountain pen. The contract has its original folds and some minor spotting not affecting the signatures. The contract cover has some writing, minor tears and soiling. Offered with a modern photograph of the three with their lawyers at the contract signing.
