These 12 images are of the 303rd Bombardment Group, also known as "Hell's Angels," during World War II. During World War II, the group was one of the first VIII Bomber Command B-17 Flying Fortress units in England. Among the images shown in this lot are the planes being fueled, loaded and checked, and the airmen with the plane. It gives a good glimpse into the daily life of the airmen associated with this group of fighters. The photos are VG/EX and measure approximately 8.5x10".
