Offered is a one page, typed letter boldly signed in ink by former heavyweight champion Rocky Marciano. This letter, dated May 11, 1968 - a year before Marciano's death - is on his own illustrated stationary. Marciano discusses his conversation with Ali trainer Angelo Dundee about their possible upcoming exhibition match, and he details his recent conversation with Gene Tunney in which Tunney describes Harry Greb as "a real vicious bastard," and where Tunney describes Marciano as "the hardest hitting bastard he ever saw." Has the original two folds, two minor staple holes, generally clean. Bold type print and signature. 8 1/2" x 11."
