Henry Armstrong fought Paul Junior on June 21, 1940 in Portland, Maine. Armstrong knocked Junior out in the 3rd round to successfully defend his World Welterweight Title. Presented here are the actual fight worn gloves used by Henry Armstrong in this contest. The gloves appear to have originated from the Ring (Magazine) collection with the paint labeling the gloves across the backhand. Gloves are well worn with a manufacturing label from RODIN across the wrists. Marked inside the wrist with name Henry Armstrong. Sold with an ink signature of Henry Armstrong framed with a photo of him at the height of his career. Armstrong equipment is very seldom seen.
