This item is an extremely rare signed photo of pitching great Grover Cleveland Alexander. The 6.5x9.5" 1930's print shows Alexander in a St. Louis Cardinals uniform and has "Sincerely yours, G.C. Alexander" signed in dark black fountain ink. The signature would rate an 8/10, but has some slight smudging around the "A" in "Alexander". Grover had a storied and often controversial career with a number of teams, often throwing complete game shutouts while combating epileptic seizures between innings. He left Major League Baseball in 1930, compiling 373 career wins, a 2.56 lifetime ERA, 2198 strikeouts, and a World Series Championship.
