Stunning image of these "Successful Defenders of the Stanley Cup." Photographic display is made of three main sec-tions, all mounted on original grey-black cardboard. At the top is an affixed die-cut real photo rendition of the Stanley Cup. At bottom is cardboard placard identifying the "Montreal Hockey Club." In the center is an 11x15" team photo with Dickey Boone, Tom Phillips, Jim Gardner, and Thomas Hodge, whose estate this came from. Photo itself is by Swan with his handpainted white cartouche. The composition is magnificent! Perfectly balanced wearing the classic wings and wheels sweaters, two crossed hockey sticks create a sure geometric balance. An artic-looking polar bear rug adds character and a bit of panache! Photo is 22x28" with a very light water stain to right side, otherwise EX-MT.
