This ring is one of the most attractive Mantle commemorative items ever issued. These rings, created by Balfour, were limited to a distribution of just 536 (Mantle’s career home run total) - this ring is 518 in that series. The 10K-gold ring is topped by a flat blue stone atop of which is Mantle’s number 7 inlaid with six diamonds. Surrounding the stones is Mantle’s name as well as the years of both his first and last seasons - 1951 and 1968. The left shank features a rendition of Yankee Stadium above which is Mantle’s facsimile signature and below which reads "#7 retired 6-8-69." The opposite side reads "536 Home Runs;" below that is five baseball bats engraved with Mantle's five biggest achievements - Hall of Fame 1974; Triple Crown 1956; .296 B.A. - 1509 R.B.I.; MVP 1956, 1957, 1962; and 18 world Series HRs. The ring, which is NRMT, is number 518 of 536 and comes in its original wooden presentation case. It is a size 9. A fantastic piece!
