The 1986 batting helmet, jersey and pants worn by Marty Barrett, the excellent second baseman who played for the Boston Red Sox for most of the 1980s. Barrett was known for his scrappy, consistent play and set a major league record in 1986 when he smacked 24 hits in 14 postseason games. The helmet is game-worn with numerous scuffs and cracks. It has the number 17 stickered on the back and 17 written in black marker on the interior foam crown piece. The jersey and pants are Wilson brand and also appear to have received time in-game, but are in otherwise excellent condition.
