On July 3,1905 Marvin Hart, The Fightin' Kentuckian, and Jack Root fought in Reno, Nevada. Retired champion Jim Jeffries was the referee. Hart survived a 7th round knockdown and stopped Root in round 12. Hart now claimed the heavyweight title vacated by Jeffries. Offered here is a rare fill, unused ticket to the event.
