The Dodgers and Twins played a thrilling World Series in 1965, with LA prevailing in seven games. From that deciding game come these autographed balls, beautifully inscribed in vintage ink. One reads: “Used in 1965 WS Minn Twins Los Angeles Dodgers 7th Final Game 2-0.” It also reads: “Given to me by Ed Hurley Umpire of the 7th Game in Mpls.” This Cronin baseball with perfect use comes with an additional ball signed by four of the umpires in the 1965 World Series, including the aforementioned Ed Hurley, dated 1965. That particular Fall Classic was a bit of a surprise as both teams had finished in sixth place the previous year.
