Just before Jackie Robinson broke baseball's color barrier on April 15, 1947, he spent his final minor league season with the Brooklyn Dodgers' farm club, the Montreal Royals in 1946. This matted and framed, 14x16" team photo is signed in 5/10 black ink by 18 of the 23 team members shown, including Robinson, along with Herman Franks, Lew Riggs, Clay Hopper, Al Campanis, Curt Davis and more. Photo is VG with a few creases and was shot at Montreal's old Delorimier Stadium, where the CFL's Montreal Alouettes also played from 1946 to 1953. Roberto Clemente also began his career playing there.
