"He should lead the league in everything. With his combination of speed and power he should win the triple batting crown every year. In fact, he should do anything he wants to do." — Casey Stengel. This 29x30.5" framed piece holds the actual baseball used in Mickey Mantle's last game that was kept, signed and notated by him. Mantle gave it to Greer Johnson, who consigned it to Lelands years ago. The game-used baseball reads, "Ball From My Last Game, No 2401, Most of any Yankee, Mickey Mantle". Mantle's signature and inscription rate a 6/10. The plaque at the bottom right corner says, "Mickey Mantle, This official baseball was used in Mickey Mantle's last game of his career. Game Number 2401, Mickey Mantle played in more Yankee games than any player in history." He played his last game at Yankee Stadium on September 25, 1968. Mantle was the only Yankee to hit a baseball (this baseball) that day, so this display is even that much more special. Mickey Mantle was a 7-time World Series Champion, and holds multiple records in baseball history, besides being one of the most well-loved figures of America's pastime.
