Here is a fantastic piece of baseball history, dating back more than 75 years. Used to store the cash from ticket sales at old Ebbets Field, this collection box (identified as "Box No 3" in white stencil along the side) is made of metal, measures 7x12x16.5" and features a combination lock on the front. There is a Railway Express label affixed to the top, between the words "EBBETS FIELD." A wonderful and intriguing item that shows wear but is still very displayable. Ebbets Field closed its doors after the 1957 season, ending a storied history of baseball in Brooklyn.
