On December 26, 1908 Jack Johnson became the first African American to win the heavyweight tile with his victory over Tommy Burns. This group includes an original action photo advertising piece for Hansa Cigar with the racist expression, "Never Burns with a Black Ash (Fair-spotting and gouging). Also two color supplements of Burns and Johnson, a third color supplement of Johnson and Billy Wells, and a scarce booklet by Health & Strength with an account of the fight (EX).
