Hall of Fame first baseman Adrian "Cap" Anson played an amazing 27 consecutive seasons and this scorecard bearing his name is something we have never seen before. The 4.5x6.5" wooden scoreboard displays strikes, balls and outs at the top with holes to house metal pegs. There are 11 pegs down the center to indicate the top and bottom of each inning, and 24 pegs at the bottom to be used to indicate runs scored per inning. There are five holes per frame for both the home and road teams, plus holes to indicate errors and base hits for both sides. There are detailed instructions on the inner half of the box, as well as hints of a pending patent.
