This is a 19th century painting on wood of the fighter Jago Black as he appeared in 1857. Initials of the fighter are present on his period togs. Magnificent image in full fight pose. The wood has separated from age in two places and has been reinforced on the back. The paint has a varnish finish which has preserved it over time. 17x70."
