On July 4, 1912 in Las Vegas, New Mexico World Heavyweight Champion Jack Johnson successfully defended his title winning by disqualification over "Fireman" Jim Flynn in a foul plagued match Offered here is a very rare souvenir silk from the event. This silk pictures both fighters. The images remain bold and vibrant. There is some minor fraying at the edges. Minor spotting and staining at the borders. 17" x 18." One of the very few silks from the Jack Johnson era to have survived.
