This lot includes a collection of three Mariano Rivera signed baseballs, two of which are of limited edition. The first ball is an Official National League Jackie Robinson 50th Anniversary commemorative baseball inscribed "Mariano Rivera Last #42 MLB" as Rivera is the last Major League player to wear Robinson's number 42, which has been officially retired by Major League Baseball. The second ball is an Official Major League (Selig) baseball from the date that Rivera reached his 300th Major League save, and is inscribed "Mariano Rivera 1 Save 5/17/96 - 300 Saves 5/28/04" and numbered 8/12. The third ball is an Official Major League (Selig) Yankee Stadium commemorative baseball inscribed "Mariano Rivera Exit Sandman Last Pitch 9-21-08" for the last pitch thrown in the old Yankee Stadium. This ball is numbered 21/42. All three baseballs are in mint condition and have Steiner holograms affixed.
