Triple crown lot from the 2001-02 season in which the Los Angeles Kings hosted the 2002 NHL All-Star Game and honored fallen scouts Garnet “Ace” Bailey and Mark Bavis, who were killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. First jersey is a KOHO size 56 Set 1 Tomas Zizka Road (black) with his number 5 on both sleeves and back. Zizka did not play a regular season game in 2001-02 and this jersey shows no signs of game use. Second offering is a CCM size 56 Set 1 Derek Bekar Home (white) with his number 58 on both sleeves and the back in three-color tackle twill. No signs of game use as Bekar did not play a regular season game with the Kings in 2001-02. Both Zizka and Bekar jerseys have Kings Set 1 tagging with Peter Miller’s (equipment manager) initials inside the back hem. Last jersey in this lot is a KOHO size 58 Stanley Cup Playoffs Ken Belanger purple alternate with his number 12 sewn on both sleeves and back. No game use is evident as Belanger did not see the ice in the 2002 Playoffs for the Kings. Inside the back hem is the Kings Stanley Cup Playoffs 2002 patch with Peter Miller’s initials. All three have fight straps attached inside the back. Names are sewn directly on the back and the All-Star and AM patches are sewn on the right and left chest of each jersey in this lot.
