Born in Detroit to Belgian and Italian parents, John Vanbiesbrouck quickly became known for his consistency in winning games for his team. This goaltender made his talents known during his time with the Florida Panthers. In 1994 "Beezer" played in close to 60 games. By the end of the year he had the 2nd best save percentage in the league, and at the end of the '94-'95 season his 33 victories and performance earned him the runner-up to both the Hart and Vezina Trophies. He twice went to the Stanley Cup finals in 1996 and 2001. This helmet is not game-used, but game-ready. It has been signed by Vanbiesbrouck with "#34" written next to his name. The artist of the helmet, Don Straus, has signed the helmet and has also written, "78/93". John Vanbiesbrouck was inducted into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame in 2007.
