This baseball was signed by 21 members of the 1951 St. Louis Browns including Eddie Gaedel, the 3'7" midget hired by team owner Bill Veeck for a publicity stunt, who became the shortest man to ever play in a major league baseball game. This is the only team-signed baseball that we have handled with Eddie Gaedel. Other signatures include Dale Long, Zack Taylor, Bill Veeck, Ray Coleman and Bob Mahoney. The grading of the signatures ranges from 3 to 7/8; Gaedel grades a 7. The ball has a light coat of shellac and shows a few nicks and some toning. With the little guy on it, this is a tough one to find!
