This duplicate copy of James Naismith's immigration document from 1917 is in great condition for such an old piece. It measures 9 x 17 1/2" framed, and Naismith's information is typed onto faded beige paper. There is a crease down the middle where it was folded vertically. Naismith is THE inventor of the sport of basketball. Born in Canada, Naismith immigrated to America where he wrote the original basketball rulebook and founded the University of Kansas' basketball program, among many more achievements.
