A rare card featuring the greatest Latin player of all with the Havana Lions. Torriente is undoubtedly one of the most celebrated Latin players of the time. The greatest plaudit ever bestowed on Torriente was by the Negro League Godfather himself, Rube Foster. Back in the 1920's when Foster had the pick of cleanup hitters for his Chicago American Giants, he chose Torriente. Alcoholism shortened his brilliant career and life. Sadly, he died in an unknown Harlem grave in 1938. The card has a light water stain at the top 25% and at the bottom left corner (they should be removable by restoration). It is o/w EX. Less than ten specimens are known to exist.
